Jacqueline's private online counselling practice is equipped to help you through symptoms of anxiety and depression; whether these symptoms were caused by a specific life event or events, or if you are unsure of the cause. During the process of mental health therapy, Jacqueline will collaborate with you and help you get to the bottom of the distress you may be experiencing. She uses evidence based counseling methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy, dialetical behavioural therapy, and mindfulness/ relaxation techniques to address these concerns. Jacqueline will work hard to ensure that whatever approach is used, it works for you.
Helping Families Who Have Been Impacted by Their Infants' Hospitalization
At Calm Shores Counselling, Jacqueline offers counseling to families who have been impacted by having a premature child at birth or who experienced other health complications. After working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the IWK Health Centre for five years, Jacqueline supported hundreds of families during their infants' hospital admission and for a period of time after they went home. This can be a traumatic and life changing experience. Just know that if you have been through this; you are not alone.
These days there are obstacles to coming into an office, but help is still available! Jacqueline can meet you online or via telephone. Rest assured that your privacy is of the utmost importance. Our sessions will remain private and confidential.
